Rebecca Cosloy KPA CTP
A native of Massachusetts, Rebecca Cosloy KPA CTP has been training and caring for dogs since 2002. A lover of all animals, Rebecca shares her home in Massachusetts with a cat and three dogs: Princess, a 16 year old rescued American Eskimo Dog, Elmo, a 15 year old shelter American Eskimo Dog, and latest addition, Jacx, a 4 year old Papillon rescued at just 20 weeks with his littermates in Oklahoma.
Specializing in reactivity, fear, and fear-based aggression, Rebecca brings her unique perspective to training all dogs with sensitivity and compassion. In 2011 Rebecca was offered an apprenticeship under the tutelage of world-renowned behavior consultant, speaker and author, Emma Parsons. Rebecca continued to learn from Parsons and joined the ranks of her assistants in Reactive and Control Unleashed classes through 2014, when she enrolled in Karen Pryor Academy with Parsons as instructor.
Rebecca graduated with distinction from the Karen Pryor Academy Dog Training Professional Program in January of 2015. Founded by behavioral biologist Karen Pryor, a pioneer of modern training, the internationally acclaimed academy teaches positive reinforcement animal training with innovative programs designed for experienced and highly motivated trainers. The course combines online learning with hands-on instruction from some of the best teachers in the field.
In addition to her KPA CTP designation, Rebecca has been a member of The Pet Professional Guild (PPG) since its inception in 2012. She is also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. When not working, Rebecca enjoys Agility and Nosework with her own dogs as well as volunteering with several rescue groups and training organizations.
