We first got connected doing reactive recovery training with our senior rescue who had been through the ringer in her past lives. Our current dog did the Basic to Brilliant training sequence and now goes to daycare regularly. Training options are plentiful and have helped trained us as owners, too. The Crossbones team is wonderful!Posted on Bartsch FamilyOctober 8, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our family worked with Crossbones to help train our puppy, Harper. The entire team was helpful. We especially benefitted from our private training time with P.J., but it was helpful that the training packages included both group class time and private tutorial time. We really loved the "drop-in" plan — which does require class registration, but allows you flexibility to fit in the classes in a sequence that makes sense for your dog. All in all, it was a positive experience for us and for Harper. We strongly recommend Crossbones for puppy training!Posted on Sarah FoxOctober 6, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dottie, the foxhound mix, completed her 8 week intensive training class 2 weeks ago. She has made such wonderful progress and the caring and supportive trainers are continuing to work with us. Dottie was so reactive that we couldn’t go for a walk- she would bark and howl at every bunny, squirrel, dog, person or car we saw. We had a walk on Saturday that felt like a normal walk- loose leash (for the most part!) and no reactivity. It was such a pleasure! Thank you so much!Posted on MichaelOctober 5, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our dog really enjoys it at Crossbones! Crossbones was absolutely the right choice for our Golden Retriever. Not only did they aid with training when she was a puppy - but they continue to reinforce all of her best behaviors as an adult dog. They are caring and my pup is always happy to be there!Posted on Gena FelixOctober 3, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I brought my 7 year old husky to Crossbones after being told by another trainer that I should put him down because he was “a danger to others”. Blue lunged aggressively at other dogs in a rage and would react and pull towards any medium to large sized dog who stared at him from even 2-3 blocks out. Our walks were becoming a nightmare! I even considered doing a boarding-type of training with another facility who focused on shock collar training but did not want him to be even more scared! Blue and I met with PJ for behavioral modification. We worked on his anxiety, teaching me techniques to build his confidence near other dogs, prevent conflicts, and get away from any potentially dangerous situation. It has been amazing! He is not perfect but now engages and looks at me when he sees another dog rather than stare aggressively or lunge. He still wants to pull and challenge but it’s no where near how he was just several months ago. PJ was patient and extremely knowledgeable. She answered each and every question and guided me to help Blue feel better! DON’T EXPECT TO NOT DO THE WORK! This will not work if you cannot dedicate the time to practice with your dog every single day. 5-10 minutes daily to reinforce and keep up with the training is imperative. If not, you will waste your time and money.Posted on Scott GouldSeptember 9, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Crossbones Training Academy has been great for our 1-year old dog! We signed up for the Flex Classes and have found each of them to be so beneficial. PJ and Sam are phenomenal trainers who have helped our dog improve his listening skills and how to be polite in public. We've found that our dog is just as eager to learn now as he was when he was a puppy, and attending Crossbones' classes have been a great experience for both our dog and us. Not only that, they are great at reinforcing the behavior for us, the owners, so we can continue to work on what we learned in class back at home. They also sell top-notch treats that our dog goes nuts for!Posted on Peter WhiteSeptember 8, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Zipper is a male Border Collie 10 years old. Zipper has been attending his educational daycare for 10 years 5 days a week. His experience is absolutely great. Crossbones gives him the opportunity to work his agility sessions and at the same time interact with other dogs. He has developed many friends over the years. Kathrine and Dan operate a school which is second to none. The entire staff is the most caring and efficient care givers to all the dogs. If you are looking for an educational daycare facility, look no further than Crossbones Dog Academy, you will be positively satisfied, and your dog will thank you many times for the great expierence of all the other dogs they meet and play with!!Posted on allen levesqueSeptember 3, 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lorie and I (parents and property of our English Bulldog, Chief), continue to have an absolutely wonderful experience with Crossbone’s Dog Academy for our new puppy! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to get to know our pup and tailor the training to his specific personality and needs. The trainers are patient, professional, and truly passionate about what they do. They made learning fun for both us and our puppy, and we noticed a huge difference in his behavior and confidence after just a few sessions. The techniques they teach are positive, effective, and easy to continue at home. We also appreciated how clean and organized the facility was, and how much emphasis they placed on safety and proper socialization. Our puppy not only learned important skills—he had a blast doing it! We’re so grateful to Crossbone’s Dog Academy for giving us such a great foundation. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for expert, compassionate training for their furry family members! ____________________________________________ Chief is now in their educational daycare program and We can’t say enough good things about Crossbones Dog Academy!
