Saturday, March 1st & Sunday, March 2nd: Click to Calm for High Performance
9AM-4PM each day

A full weekend seminar

When competing, and out in the great wide world, the challenges are many:

  • Fighting for your dog’s attention when in highly arousing situations.
  • Teaching your dog a variety of foundation behaviors that can be especially helpful in any situation.
  • Dealing with dog and people reactivity in novel environments.
  • Working on going from excited to calm in a matter of seconds.

The cleaner the training loops, the faster our dog’s behavior will become reliable.

Join us for this fun-filled, two-day seminar with Emma Parsons, author of “The New Click to Calm”. This seminar will focus on applying the Click to Calm methodology to deepen the connection between you and your dog, and grow the reliability of their training skills. This workshop is geared toward dog sport competitors and pet dog owners aiming higher! This seminar is also great for professional dog trainers who work with challenging handler/dog teams.

Grounded in learning theory, we will explore such topics as how contextual cues and accidental behavior chains can inadvertently teach our dogs behaviors that we deem unnecessary or inappropriate. Learn the difference between a behavior loop and a behavior chain and how to intentionally build these up — or break them! Turn distractions into cues for better behavior and learn useful foundation behaviors to improve connection.

This seminar includes video for your benefit! Emma will record the working sessions and send each participant videos of their own dog. (This is optional, and you can decline if you prefer not to be filmed.)
